Pharmacy Technician

Equiscript, LLC is seeking a highly organized, motivated professional to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician.

The Pharmacy Technician will work under the supervision of the Program Efficiency Specialist to provide support for patients who have newly enrolled in our program.  You will be responsible for collaborating with our sales team, health care provider clients, and our partner pharmacies to ensure patients’ prescriptions are filled in a timely manner and that patient service expectations are exceeded.  This involves monitoring patients’ progress, communicating with the parties involved, and keeping patients informed of updates.

The Pharmacy Technician will play an important role in building our programmatic efficiencies and in building relationships with our patients.

This position involves working with patients over the phone.  You must be focused, personable, detail oriented, and strategic.  You must be passionate about providing excellent patient care.

 

Key activities include:

  • Monitoring outstanding patients to ensure that their prescriptions are processed, filled, and delivered prior to need-by dates
  • Communicating updates and program expectations to patients
  • Helping patients understand the importance of medication adherence, and noting patients who aren’t adherent, so that we can notify their medical team
  • Providing exemplary patient service and care
  • Working as part of a team to achieve company goals
  • Working with Salesforce.com (Salesforce experience helpful, but not required)
  • Working with the Program Efficiency Specialist to ensure that all prescription requests have been sent to our pharmacies in a timely manner, tracking those that have not and removing process barriers.
  • Addressing client concerns, problem solving, and process improvement initiatives
  • Providing clear, timely patient support so that we can enroll patients and keep them happy

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation in patient and client accounts
  • Must be able to demonstrate patience and empathy when dealing with patients
  • Must be able to communicate drug and medication information appropriately
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests in order to be sure that tasks are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met
  • Must be able to work independently and be proactive
  • Must have good problem solving skills, be resourceful and take initiative
  • Must have computer aptitude, and be able to work comfortably in a web-based system that uses extensive reporting to identify service risks for resolution

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-3 Years medical practice or pharmacy experience, or certified Pharmacy Technician with customer service experience
  • Practical understanding of medical terminology and medications
  • Saleforce.com experience and knowledge is a plus, but not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work full-time in a phone-based office environment.

SQL DBA

Job Summary

The Database Administrator will participate in performance tuning, replication, mirroring, clustering,data warehousing, backup and recovery and support of the production and QA databases. Practical, relevant experience as a creative problem solver and a proven ability to solve tough challenges with high quality solutions are critical. The Database Administrator will design and support MS SQL Server databases for 24/7 mission critical applications. This role reports directly to the CIO.

Primary Duties

•Microsoft SQL Server administration and maintenance functions of production and QA databases in a 24/7 mission critical environment

•Participate in database server architecture and design as well as server environment recommendations for the overall infrastructure solution including storage capacity planning

•Responsible for database alerts, maintenance plans and scripts

•Manage database security and control access permissions and privileges

•Maintain the health, performance and integrity of the database systems

•Responsible for availability, reliability and integrity of business data stored in production databases

•Communicate regularly with the development team, business and operations team to ensure the security and confidentiality of data

•Resolve production database issues with team members and implement improvements to prevent a recurrence of the issue

•Backup and restore databases as necessary

 

Basic Qualifications

•Several years of experience working as a hands-on MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 Database Administrator

•Experience in replication, data warehouse and scalability – Disaster Recovery

•Strong skills and experience in performance tuning – Index, Table, Queries and Stored procedures

•Data modeling skills for enterprise data warehouses and data marts

•Experience with Triggers, Stored Procedures and SQL Server Queries

•Experience in a 24/7 high availability production database environment

•Ability to think logically and analyze business process requirements and convert them to accurate database structure and logic

•Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet deadlines within an dynamic, fast paced and challenging environment

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•Strong knowledge designing SSIS packages

•Strong knowledge of SSRS

•Experience with one or more Business Intelligence tools

Preferred Requirements

•Healthcare and pharmacy data experience a plus

Regional Sales Director

Special Note.  Equiscript has four positions open for this position, one each for the South, North East, Central and West territories.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the successful candidate will present and sell the company’s 340B home delivery pharmacy services to prospective health center clients.

Position Description:

  •   Work with corporate-level prospects in the healthcare industry to sell our company’s 340B pharmacy management service.
  •   Generate leads and develop new sales within a specific region.
  •   Promote the company’s services to prospective clients.
  •   Responsible for movement through the completion of the sales cycle –  lead generation, contracting, implementation, and transition and support to account management.
  •   Solicit potential clients using cold calling, e-mail, direct mail, social networking and face-to face meetings.
  •   Manage active sales leads and maintain sales activity to continue filling the forecast pipeline.
  •   Manage the contracting process and negotiate the Equiscript Management Services Agreement.
  •   Interact with the Client Relationship staff for assigned territory to strengthen client relationships and prospect for revenue opportunities with existing clients.
  •   Close sales in accordance with assigned quarterly and annual quotas.
  •   Effectively communicate with all internal Equiscript staff and client staff.
  •   Provide business development updates.
  •   Works with VP of Sales to develop annual budget, providing supporting projections, statistics, and information.
  •   Perform other related duties as assigned by Vice President of Sales.
  •   Represent Equiscript at various trade shows, as requested.
  •   Facilitate and perform prospective benchmark calculations on the utilization of the Equiscript Program.
  •   Represent Equiscript in a professional manner at all times.
  •   Be a role model, and an active participant in our company culture.

Qualification/Requirements:

Minimum of five (5) years broad hospital sales with a Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus.

  •   Experience working with hospital leadership in a sales-related field.
  •   Experience working with hospital operations, pharmacy operations and finance.
  •   Experience with Community Health Center operations, pharmacy operations, and finance.
  •   Solid understanding of 340B eligibility and participation requirements.
  •   Knowledge of issues, trends, and challenges presented by participation in the 340B program.
  •   Experience in a sales or corporate management.
  •   Experience managing the sales process with both C-suite and departmental-level staff in the hospital and community health center setting.
  •   Experience working in a goal oriented, delivery focused, and dynamic environment.
  •   History of success in a team-selling environment (utilizing the Miller Heiman Strategic Selling sales methodology is a plus).
  •   Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience interacting with all levels of staff with an organization.
  •   Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Knowlege of Salesforce.com and Google Apps is a plus
  •   Motivated self-starter.

Other Information:

  •   Home-based position, managing a regional territory.
  •   The successful candidate will live within 50 miles of a major airport, and be willing to travel 50% of the time.
  •   Preferred (but not required) locations with access to major airports include
    • For the Central Region – Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Detroit
    • For the West Region – Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake
    • For the Northeast Region – Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh. NY/NJ area

Compensation:

Base Salary plus commission.
