Site Champions play a significant role in the success of Equiscript home delivery pharmacy programs across the country. They serve as the primary point of contact between the Equiscript team, providers, and patients. Site Champions are super-organized, super-involved superstars who carry out the tasks necessary to make a successful pharmacy program.
Lawton Community Health Center (LCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and is a service of the Comanche County Hospital Authority. LCHC provides family and pediatric services to Comanche County and surrounding communities in Southwest Oklahoma.
We were able to ask Tiffany some questions about her role and experience as an Equsicript Site Champion. Take a look at what she had to say!
What do you love about your job?
Working with my patients and accomplishing their needs.
What do you like about being the Site Champion for your health center’s home delivery pharmacy program?
Being able to help our patients get their prescriptions in a timely manner.
How has your experience working with Equiscript been so far?
My experience has been great and welcoming. Stephanie has always been the go-to.
What advice do you have for other Site Champs?
Always put the patients first. Remember they are our number one priority.
How valuable is the home delivery pharmacy program to your patients?
Some of my patients are not mobile or do not have a vehicle so this service helps them get their prescriptions delivered at home.
What is the main barrier to accessing healthcare that your patients experience?
The prices of prescriptions. Many people may not have insurance or the ability to pay for healthcare or prescriptions.
Would you recommend our program to other organizations like yours? Why?
Of course. I would recommend Equiscript because it’s convenient and able to help patients from all walks of life.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Being able to work in healthcare with different patients is an eye-opener. The ability to help others with their healthcare needs is valuable.
