Site Champions play a significant role in the success of Equiscript home delivery pharmacy programs across the country. They serve as the primary point of contact between the Equiscript team, providers, and patients. Site Champions are super-organized, super-involved superstars who carry out the tasks necessary to make a successful pharmacy program.
HealthSource of Ohio is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that has been serving its community for more than 45 years with its first clinic opening in 1976. Now with several locations in Southwest Ohio, they offer an array of primary care services.
We were able to ask Bethany some questions about her role and experience as an Equsicript Site Champion. Take a look at what she had to say!
What do you love about your job?
I like the idea that because I am Site Champion for my organization, I am helping customers get their meds in a manner that works best for them, specifically mail order with Equiscript.
What do you like about being the Site Champion for your health center’s home delivery pharmacy program?
I like partnering with Equiscript to provide a service to our customers that otherwise would not exist. Being able to offer home delivery saves a lot of our customers the hassle of having to get out to the pharmacy during business hours. It also helps our customers keep track of their medications a little easier with bubble packing.
How has your experience working with Equiscript been so far?
GREAT!! I’ve had a couple of training meetings and a lot of interaction with Kiran and some other staff. Every question has been answered, every task explained in detail, and everybody has been so friendly.
What advice do you have for other Site Champs?
Stay on top of the medication requests. This is a vital part of keeping your customers happy. If you get the requests answered in a timely manner, Equiscript can get those refills to your patients in a timely manner and everybody stays happy during the process.
How valuable is the home delivery pharmacy program to your patients?
Patients love the ease of knowing their medications will be delivered directly to their door, already organized in bubble packs.
Would you recommend our program to other organizations like yours? Why?
YES!! Equiscript does all the work! It is a wonderful program that offers a service our pharmacies can't, and a lot of patients benefit from it. And they still stay our patients because of our partnership with Equiscript.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I’ve only been Site Champion for my organization for a short time, but the training and process of taking on this role has been easy. I’m excited to work closely with the Equiscript community to expand the services we can offer.
